Modern Woodtech, founded over 30 years ago by Richard Bucher, is a family run workshop renowned for high-quality woodcraft in New England.
Richard, part of a lineage of six generations of carpenters, started his journey with a firewood business at age 13. Throughout his youth, he absorbed the trade's secrets by working alongside his father and brothers, acquiring invaluable hands-on experience.
His university education in carpentry and arborism, combined with his experience teaching carpentry and tree-cutting classes, has shaped Modern Woodtech’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship.
Richard oversees every product to ensure its integrity, maintaining the hands-on approach and commitment to excellence that define our company.
